Discovering His Passion for the Law
Born in the Washington, D.C. area and raised in the Detroit area, Mark has always been academically minded. He is multi-lingual, speaking both English and Greek fluently. He graduated from Grosse Pointe South High School in 1983. Subsequently, he received a multi-disciplinary bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Political Science, and Psychology from Michigan State University in 1987. He then returned to Washington D.C. to attend the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. There, in 1990, he earned his Juris Doctor Law Degree, after which he completed an internship at the Office of the United States Attorney in Washington, D.C.
Soon, Mark moved to Orlando, where he was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1991 and began working as an Assistant State Attorney for the Office of the State Attorney, Ninth Judicial Circuit. While working with the State Attorney’s Office, Mark put his years of schooling to work, building a reputation as a highly effective prosecutor. This experience informs his work today as a criminal defense and family law attorney, allowing him a unique perspective and advantage that helps him serve his clients better.
The Founding of Longwell Lawyers
In 1993, Mark felt called to leave the State Attorney’s Office and open his own practice. Spurred on by a passion for providing clients with the strong, thoughtful representation they deserve, Mark worked to build a thriving legal practice that helps make his Orlando community a better place. That law firm is what is now Longwell Lawyers.
For the past three decades, Mark and his team have helped countless Orlando residents through various legal issues.
