Arrested Planet Beach Employee Has All Charges Dropped

Earlier this year, the media reported on the arrest of a Planet Beach employee who was accused of Sexual Battery on two customers. That individual retained Longwell Lawyers, and we issued the following statement at that time:

Criminal Defense Attorney Mark Longwell mentioned in the Orlando Sentinel

Last week, yet another charge was dropped against a resident who had supposedly committed “battery” on an Orlando police officer. This time it was local activist John Kurtz, who had been videotaping someone else’s arrest when Officer Adam Gruler arrested Kurtz.

Gruler claimed Kurtz attacked him. But a jury watched the surveillance video — which didn’t show Kurtz battering anyone, but merely operating a video camera — and acquitted Kurtz of the charge. “It was simple,” said Kurtz’s attorney, Mark Longwell. “The video simply didn’t support the cop’s claim.”
